Welcome, to State of Proper’s first internal competition. Our last contest with Beaming Apparel was a huge success, so I hope this will also be a great step for SofP to grow.
This is a writing competition, all pieces due by December 1st, in which anyone can enter. The rules are listed below, with some important details here. Anyone can join the contest, and anyone can enter as many pieces as they want. Each piece/blog/article/review or whatever you wish to call it, will be on a Brand, Company, Specific garment of clothing, a website or anything else approved by me, Stephen Hershfield. I challenge you to dig deep, if you do a brand; get a picture with the clothing/talk about the history or cool facts. If you do a company, try to contact someone working for it or the owner for an interview, or cool facts. If you want to do a specific garment, definitely get real life pictures of your or friends wearing it, the evolution of the garment and anything surprising. Have fun, and get those lap tops warmed up.
Rules:
- Must get brand approved first, no duplicates will be welcome
- You may write as many pieces as you want
- Must be over 300 words

How we will pick the winner
The winner will be picked from 2 categories. 50% will come from quality of the piece. Every part of the piece is fair game to be graded: grammar, length, quality of pictures, depth. The other 50% comes from the amount of people that read the article on the website. Set it as your status, post it on peoples’ walls, email it to people, tweet it, tell your respected Greek organizations to look at it every day. The viewing portion of the contest run from December 1st (when the pieces are due) to December 18th, 2011 at 11:59 pm.

Winner will receive either 20 dollars cash, or anything online apparel up to 30 dollars. It will be Christmas time, so it will be a great gift to receive in the mail!!!
