I have been described as many things in my life; stylish, funny, gentleman-like, trustworthy, outgoing, and fun. When I hear people describing me, I stop them. I proceed by telling them that the one word in which they can use to describe me is “proper”. This website describes what I stand for and the tasteful way I live my proper life.
Spending time on the beach is one of my favorite leisurely activities. There, I enjoy hanging out with friends, boating, and making drinks with my father. Life is simple at the beach. This relaxing environment can cause some people to get lazy with their style but I always keep it proper. You will undoubtedly catch me wearing pastels, khakis, and shirts with collars. It is the beach where I have a koozie in my hand, a croakie for my sunglasses, and Sperrys on my boat.
People have asked me before, “Kinzer, why are you always dressed up?” I simply reply by saying “I am not dressed up, if I wanted to dress up I would be wearing a tie or a bow tie”. I rarely dress in order to impress others, I just genuinely love the southern style and it is a way for me to express the “proper” in my life.
In my mind, the proper life and all that is proper means one thing to me; doing what you love to do everyday. Whether it may be sailing on a yacht around the world, or volunteering at a local animal shelter, as long as you are passionate about what you love to do, have confidence in what you stand for and live your life with class, that is the proper life. For me, the proper life is about being a gentleman by doing everything with class in my daily life.
